Gippsland's Women's Social Cycling Program

Ride with us this winter.

Relaxed. Beginner-friendly. Zero pressure. Just a great group of local women getting outside together.

No fitness test. No lycra panic.

No "am I good enough?"

Gippy Girls Can Social Cycling is designed for women who want to get moving in a welcoming, judgement-free environment. Whether you haven’t ridden in years, you’re just getting started, or you simply want to meet some great local women β€” these sessions were made for you.

What It's Like

What to expect

Show up as you are

No fitness level required. No special gear. No "keeping up." These sessions are designed for women at every stage β€” beginners, returners, and everyone in between.

Ride at your own pace

There are no races here. We ride as a group, at a pace that suits everyone. You'll finish feeling refreshed β€” not exhausted β€” and ready to come back next week.

Meet brilliant local women

The best part? The people. Each session is as much about connection and conversation as it is about cycling. Come alone, leave with a crew.

Road safety built in

We start in car parks so you can find your feet in a safe, low-pressure environment. As your confidence grows, we introduce road safety skills - so by the end you'll feel ready to ride anywhere.

Common Questions

We've got answers

Absolutely β€” in fact, it’s especially for you. Most of our participants are beginners or women returning to cycling after a long break. There is no expectation of fitness or experience. You’ll ride at a pace that suits you, surrounded by women who completely get it.

Nope! Any working bike is welcome β€” road bike, mountain bike, hybrid, e-bike, whatever you’ve got in the garage. If it rolls, bring it.

The Sale sessions run on Sundays from 24 May to 5 July at the Gippsland Regional Sports Complex. The Briagolong sessions run on Saturdays from 27 June to 18 July at the Briagolong Recreation Reserve Car Park. Both run at the same time (10–11am) and have the same beginner-friendly, welcoming format. Pick whichever location is closest to you!

Of course! The programs overlap between 27 June and 5 July β€” so if you’re keen, you could ride on Saturday at Briagolong and again on Sunday at Sale. Just make sure you register for both.

This program is completely free to participate in, thanks to grant funding. Just register, show up, and enjoy β€” no cost, no catch. πŸ’œ

Please do! Everything is better with a mate by your side. Just make sure you both register separately as spots are limited.
